Do not forget that TODAY is District Physical night at Elkins from 3-6PM.  Returning students MUST complete a physical for the 2026 - 2027 school year.   Also, please keep in mind that they are cashless!  If you are participating in the District Physical Night, please go to this link to pay: Payment Link.  You do not need to attend with your student, BUTyou must complete the Consent Form PDF for your student:  Consent Form

The last day to purchase your Spring Banquet tickets is this Friday, May 1^st.  This year’s banquet will take place on Friday, May 22nd from 6:00–10:00 PM at Quail Valley Golf Club. This is a family event, so feel free to bring friends and family to celebrate.  The tickets are $55 and we will close sales on May 1^st.  We will not be able to accommodate walk-ins or sell tickets at the door, so be sure to secure yours early!  Tickets can be purchased through the Elkins Booster Hub — click here https://elkinsband.boosterhub.com/store/10324  to register for the event.  Graduating seniors are free, but they need to register with that ticket option to be counted as attending. 

We’d love your help—please check out the volunteer calendar for upcoming opportunities to support our students! We are looking for parents to assist with uniform measurements during class time, this week, helping students get fitted for their show shirts and try on assigned bibbers. Each bibber is now numbered, making it easy to match the right fit to each student. In addition, we are seeking volunteers to support our May Marching Camp on May 9^th and parent assistance with the Band Banquet Prep on May 20^th. Parent Social - May 8th

Join us for a fun and relaxed Parent Social on Friday, May 8 from 6:30–8:30 p.m. at Johnny Tamales (2720 FM 1092 Rd, Missouri City)! It’s a pay-your-own-way evening, so come by, grab a bite, and enjoy getting to know other Band and Guard parents in a casual, welcoming setting. We’d love to see you there!

May Marching Camp May 9^th – Volunteers Needed

May Marching Camp is right around the corner, and we have a few great ways for parents to jump in and be part of the fun!

• Uniform Show Shirt Fittings:  We’ll be measuring incoming freshmen for their uniform show shirts and would love your help—we still need about 14 volunteers to assist with measuring or recording sizes. If you’re dropping your student off in the morning, consider staying for 30–45 minutes to lend a hand. No experience needed—just a willingness to help! • Section Meet & Greet (3:30 p.m., Cafeteria):  Join us at 3:30 p.m. in the cafeteria for an instrument section gathering. This is a wonderful chance to connect with other parents in your student’s section and get to know the Band and Guard program before the parent meeting.

• Volunteer Fair:  While you’re there, be sure to check out our Volunteer Fair! We’ll be showcasing a variety of ways to get involved—whether you prefer helping from home, occasionally at school, or pitching in during evenings or weekends. There’s something for everyone!

Spirit Night May 11th – Chick Fil A

Mark your calendars and bring your appetite—it’s Spirit Night time! Join us on Monday, May 11^th from 3:00–8:00 PM at Chick-fil-A (6124 Highway 6 S, Missouri City) to support the Elkins Band and Color Guard in the easiest (and tastiest) way possible. Whether you dine in, swing through the drive-thru, or order on the app, every receipt helps make a difference for our program. Grab your friends, bring the family, and let’s show up strong for our students!

Our Elkins Band & Guard Silent Auction is live!
