Elkins High School Band 

The Texas Music Educators Association Region 13 High School Region Audition is approaching. This is an exciting opportunity for our band students to demonstrate growth on their instruments and playing ability in an individual competitive setting. Directors will have the final say on who can audition based on the quality of pass-offs and feedback from master class teachers. Those students who feel they can be ready and successful may enter now or discuss with a director about the audition itself.

The auditions take place according to the following schedule:

-      Monday, November 17, 5:00pm, Clements HS – Phase 1 Flute, Trumpet, Trombone

-      Wednesday, November 19, 5:00pm, Clements HS – Phase 1 Bb Clarinet, Alto Sax, Horn

-      Friday, December 5, 5:00pm, George Ranch HS – Phase 1 Percussion

-      Saturday, December 6, 8:30am, George Ranch HS – Freshmen Auditions (Buses Provided)

-      Saturday, December 6, 1:15pm, George Ranch HS – Phase 2 and all other Phase 1 auditions (Buses Provided)

If students are placed into the region band, they will need to ensure that they are available the weekend of December 12th - 13th, 2025, for the Region Band Clinic and Concert, which will take place at Foster High School. Please block out these dates before auditioning.

There is a $30 entry fee required to audition.
