Elkins Band and Guard Family,

Happy Wednesday! We hope you’re having a great week. As we wrap up January, we have a few exciting events coming up along with some volunteer needs we’d love your help with.

We have a Winter Guard competition this Saturday! The Varsity Winter Guard will compete for the first time this season on Saturday, January 24th at Turner High School. They’ll be performing their show, “A Sunday With You,” at 6:40 PM.  Tickets can be purchased HERE, and we would absolutely love to see our students and families in the stands cheering them on!

• Wednesday, January 21st – 8th grade students and parents will visit Elkins to learn about student programs and prepare for course selection. We need a few parents in the Elkins Commons to answer questions about our Band and Guard program.
• Saturday, January 24th – Winter Guard is in need of two additional adult chaperones for their competition. You do not need to ride the bus—you may drive directly to the competition and assist there.
• Friday, January 30th – Our semi-trailer door needs some TLC. Come help us get it ready for the next marching season.

We’re making a final push for our shoe donation drive. If you have any gently used shoes, please drop them off in the band hall. Every donation helps, and we truly appreciate your support.
