Elkins Band and Guard Family,

Happy New Year! We hope everyone is settling back into the routine and that our students are ready to dive into a full and exciting spring semester.

A big congratulations to all the students who participated in the TMEA All-State auditions this past weekend—what an accomplishment! Special shout-out to Daniel Pate (oboe) and Matthew Riggan (flute) for earning spots in the All-State Band. We are so proud of you!

This week, we’re excited to welcome 8th graders from Fort Settlement, First Colony, and Quail Valley Middle Schools to Elkins High School. They’ll be visiting and playing alongside our EHS Band on Friday, January 16. This is a great opportunity for our band families to help by serving pizza to our guests. We’re also making a final push for our shoe donation drive. If you have any gently used shoes, please drop them off in the band hall—we appreciate your support!
