Elkins Band and Guard Family,

We have a lot to be grateful for and a lot to look forward to with the Elkins Band and Guard.  Congratulations to all the students that participated in region competition for the last few weeks.  We have 71 students that made the region band, and 18 students have advanced to Area.  Way to go!  

The Percussion Midwest Preview Concert is Thursday, December 11th at 7:00 PM in the Elkins HS Auditorium.    Let’s fill the auditorium and cheer on our percussion students before they head to Chicago for Midwest!  There will be a Hot Cocoa Bar in the Commons area following the concert.

Friendly reminder for all students that they need to return their concert uniforms back into the uniform room.  Also, don’t forget that our Winter Wonderland Fundraiser ends on December 12^th.  Do check it out (details in the newsletter).

Volunteer Needs

• Thursday, December 11^th -  We have 71 musicians attending Region Band this week, and we are going to pack a snack bag for them to take for Friday's rehearsal.  There will be snacks and bags laid out in the uniform room.
• Thursday, December 11^th - Hot Cocoa Bar @ Percussion Ensemble Midwest Preview.  Come out and watch the percussion ensemble's preview concert and help too! We will have another hot cocoa bar, and we need help with setting up and serving after the performance in the Commons.
• Saturday, December 13^th - We will be feeding the Region Band students lunch and providing a snack table for them during the rest of the day until their concerts.  Check out the volunteer calendar, we will need help at different times of the day.
