Elkins Band and Guard Family,

We hope you’re easing back into the routine after a restful Thanksgiving holiday. It was wonderful seeing so many of our amazing volunteers at last night’s Appreciation Night—thank you for everything you do to support our program.

This Thursday, our students take the stage for their Holiday Concert at 6:30 PM. We invite everyone to come out, enjoy the music, and show your support. We’ll also hold our Booster General Meeting that evening and will have a hot cocoa bar set up for all to enjoy.

Our shoe drive is still going strong—we’ve collected 25 bags so far, meeting our minimum goal!  Please continue bringing your gently used shoes and drop them off at the concert.

And be sure to save the date for the Percussion Midwest Preview Concert on Thursday, December 11th at 7:00 PM in the Elkins HS Auditorium.  Let’s fill the auditorium and cheer on our percussion students before they head to Chicago for Midwest!

Sunday, December 7th Kendra Scott Giveback Event – Let’s Break a Record!

Join us for a sparkling evening at the Kendra Scott Giveback Event on December 7th from 5:00–7:00 PM at the Sugar Land First Colony Mall location!  20% of all purchases—in-store and online (Dec 7–8 with code GIVEBACK-KSUKL)—will support the Elkins Band Booster Club.

This year, we’re setting a BIG goal: 50 supporters and $1,000 raised! Our highest amount earned in recent years is $837, and we’re ready to beat it. To help make that happen, we challenge every parent—especially our board and meeting attendees—to personally invite at least 10 guests to shop.

We will have a few parents with sweet treats for our shoppers, and we’ll be promoting throughout the week on social media.  Let’s shine bright, do good, and show up strong for the Elkins Band!

• Friday, December 5^th and Saturday December 6^th Region Auditions -  Help create a secure audition experience for students by volunteering as a Monitor.
• Saturday, December 13^th Region Band Clinic – be on the lookout for a signup to assist with snacks and lunch for the students
